There are only 2 places left
We are planning a "recce" Wildlife and Birding Tour to Uganda in January 2013. The tour will have 18 nights/19 days.
Uganda is only half the size of Kenya and yet has almost the same number of bird species (over 1000!). This is an impressive number, since many people regard Kenya as Africa’s greatest birding destination – but per unit area Uganda is actually twice as bird-diverse! During our 19-day birding adventure, we look for the over 20 Albertine Rift endemics inhabiting Uganda, spectacular birds such as African Green Broadbill, African Grey Parrot and Shoebill and literally hundreds of other bird species.
Photo left: The elusive Shoe-billed Stork, a most amazing bird with prehistoric looks.
In addition, we also look for Gorilla, Chimpanzee, tree-climbing lions and a plethora of other spectacular mammals. Uganda is very beautiful and incredibly diverse (all packed into a small area), with the source of the White Nile on Lake Victoria (Africa’s largest lake), to snow-capped Mountains, to tropical lowland jungle, to typical African savannah and even desert.

Special CommentOur philosophy is to base prices for “recce tours” on cost price. In case we need to make changes (transport, accommodation or what ever) we will discuss this and if the majority decides to do so, we will need to divide the possible extra costs over all members of the group.
