BirdingTours Europe Spain Photographers Paradise

Why Southern Spain?

Some General Remarks about this Tour.

Due to special demand from several fellow travellers, we have designed a Birding Tour, for Photographers only. It should not be a surprise that for this first Photographers only tour we have chosen Andalucía, because Andalucía has it all, and of course it is on our own doorstep, we know how to provide the best opportunities! We will form 2 different groups; one group with an interchange of knowledge between the participants and one group lead by a Professional Wildlife Photographer. Price levels will be different, it all depends on your requirements. In the documents below you can read all about it.

Bird Photography in Spain

Greater-FlamingoBird photography in spain offers stunning geographical diversity from lush meadows, green valleys, hills and snowy mountains in the Northern regions to almost desert zones in the South. This diversity of landscapes adds to the wealth of interesting and exciting bird species both endemic and migratory.
For this tour, completely designed for photographers, we have chosen Andalucía. This is the most southerly province in Spain and one of the last remaining wildernesses in Europe. It is a province rich in wildlife diversity, history and culture from the Phoenicians to the Spanish Civil War. It is the home of flamenco and bull fighting traditions and was the most favoured area in Spain for such characters as Hemingway and Orson Welles. Short-toed-EagleDue to an extremely pleasant climate, its natural beauty, as well as exquisite cuisine, Andalucía is one of the most attractive areas on the Mediterranean.
Special CommentIt goes without saying that all our accommodation is of the usual very high standard as all Worldwide Birding Tours. This tour is relaxed and recommended if comfort and easy pace is required. At 2 of these hotels we will spend 2 consecutive nights giving time for relaxation and enjoying their superb locations, these longer stays also give opportunities for individuals to miss touring with the group and do their own thing.
As a meeting point of Europe and Africa, Andalucía offers a very impressive variety of unusual fauna and flora. Here the normally mild Mediterranean clashes, in the famous Strait of Gibraltar, with the wild and unpredictable Atlantic Ocean forming large salty lagoons and wide rivers. Extensive forests, open cultivated plains, olive trees, oaks, pinsapo (Spanish) firs, high cliffs, secluded beaches and the most important sand dunes and marshes in Europe can be found in this region. The highest mountain ranges in all of Iberia are also found here, climbing to more than 12,000 feet above sea level.

All our guests always have regular options, either join-in with the tour group birding and wildlife viewing or opt-out and enjoy your own company. You, the client, have choices unlike with so many other group tours!
Reserving your place is both easy and inexpensive. A deposit of € 250 is all we require! Book online...
