Birding India is an absolute must for the serious birdwatcher and the variety of birds in India on this multi-destination tour was a thrill for the birder, whatever level of experience, expert or beginner, there were lots of birds for all. On this tour we discovered a new bird for Corbett National Park as well as submitting records for rarely seen birds in other areas, a tribute to the observation and attention skills displayed by our group of friends on this tour! With around 350 species listed, not to mention Tiger and other wildlife sightings, we were able to fulfil our pre-tour expectations on the birdlife in India…..Tour Leader: Peter Jones

Before the tour started
With all our party arriving the previous day before the official start of the tour, we were able to spend a relaxed pre-tour day in Delhi, if such a thing is possible! The sheer number of people and volume of traffic makes Delhi a wonder to all of us from other far away places, quite how everything functions is a testimony to all who live in this vast city. Most chose to venture into the city during the morning with all of us meeting for lunch near to Lodhi Gardens, giving us a leisurely afternoon to wander this wonderfully scenic park ...
Meet your Tour Guides for India
Gajendra Singh is our senior birding guide in India. A specialist in the birdlife of India and experienced in all aspects of the country’s wildlife, Gajendra is a real bonus whilst touring this wonderfully rich and diverse destination. For the travelling bird watcher, Gajendra is an absolute joy, his friendly and knowledgeable company whilst touring is a real treat.He has been a leading light in so many national bird censuses including the Sarus Crane project. A graduate from the University of Rajasthan, he has worked as an approved naturalist for several Indian government agencies including Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur Govt. of Rajasthan (Deptt. of Forest), Bandhavgarh National park, Madhya Pradesh as a resident Naturalist where he assisted various film and news gathering groups, Bird watching, wildlife photographer groups and Individuals.
Tour leader: Each tour will have a representative of Worldwide Birding Tours to accompany it, ensuring attention to detail and fulfilling our pledge not to send you on holiday, but to take you.
He has been involved with the Tiger habitat conservation programme at Royal Tiger Resort, Village, Talla, Dist-Umaria- (M.P.), Bandhavgarh (M.P.). He also has the distinction of being W.W.F certificated. As a natural communicator, Gajendra is equally at home explaining ‘his’ country’s wildlife to the beginner or more experienced traveller. For us he is as much a highlight to our tours as the destination itself!
